Mulcher Teeth is an essential part of forestry mulchers while you are doing land clearing, land management, forestry mulching, wood chipping, and site preparation. However, what makes mulcher teeth qualified?
There are plenty of aftermarket forestry mulcher teeth in the market, but do you know what makes them with good quality?
Certainly, you would say, Good quality mulcher teeth are characterized by their material durability, sharp points, and ability to withstand high-impact conditions. However, how can they with these characterizes?
It is the raw materials and the right production process in whole production procedures makes!
Because the surface makes no difference, but when you use them, you get to know what exactly the quality difference.
Here, we will show you how KORDA produce the mulcher teeth step by step, and how we control the quality during every process, to ensure that you will get the best quality forestry mulching teeth.
1. Qualified Raw Material:Carbon Alloy Steel + Tungsten Carbide Tips
Raw materials are the key to product quality. Good raw materials can produce good products.
If the raw materials are not qualified, the products produced will definitely be bad. There is no doubt about it.
Qualified raw material carbon alloy steel will flow to hot forging, according to different blades, the steel bar will cut into sections, and flow to the mold
3. CNC Maching, or Lathing
Qualified work blank will flow to CNC Machining or Lathing
Heat-treatment is an very important procedure in the whole process, it determines the rockwell hardness of the mulcher teeth, different hardness are suitable for different working environment, quality inspection required in this step.
After Heat-treatment , the surface of the blade is covered with oxide scale,shot blasting is the right way to remove the oxide scale, to help polishing the surface;
they work like this way, there are lots of small ball in the machine, and the small balls hit the blade surface, to polish the surface
For the tungsten carbide tipped teeth, after carbon alloy steel finished, brazing is the next step.
7. Tempering & Shot-blasting should be done again
. When Brazing finished, tempering & shot blasting is required to be done again.
. These 2 steps had been done in previous steps, however, after tungsten carbide brazing, to ensure the quality, we also need to do the same actions.
. Heat-treatment helps the tungsten carbide to reach the required rockwell hardness,
and show blasting is to improve the surface quality.
After Heat-treatment and shot blasting, the thread maybe deformed,or maybe fill in some impurities, the thread milling cutter helps to make the thread back to right and clean. Quality inspection required.
9. Oiled
After the inspection of the inspection fixture is passed; All teeth are oiled to prevent rust
When all inspection is done, and we get qualified mulcher teeth, the qualified ones are packed according to your packing request.
